Our American Arts and Crafts house features spacious and welcoming areas for you to relax, enhanced by the beauty of restored New Zealand Rimu flooring. Contemporary gas fires, original New Zealand art, a collection of antiques and stylish interior design await you.
Blackwood House offers accommodation in three guest rooms for up to six guests to experience a peaceful stay in the country. You will find Blackwood House to be a sanctuary of tranquility, comfort and warm hospitality. Enjoy a walk around the property and share in the delight and enthusiasm we have for everything the Waikato has to offer.
Rooms
Blackwood House is a cedar clad retreat set within a peaceful garden. Accommodation at Blackwood House includes your choice of three guest rooms.
Our bedrooms have been individually styled and designed with your relaxation and comfort in mind. The peaceful setting, soft furnishings, fine furniture, superior mattresses and quality bed linen encourage a restful night’s sleep.
All of our rooms enjoy panoramic countryside vistas.
In a separate wing of the house are two bedrooms. One bedroom caters to a couple with a queen bed and the other has two single beds, the choice is yours.
A large bathroom separates these two bedrooms. Enjoy the little luxuries of life, such as our custom shower, with a choice of rainhead or shower rose, air conditioning and the ambience of the surround sound system throughout the house.
Upstairs is a spacious bedroom with a queen bed and its own ensuite, overlooking the picturesque rural landscape.
All bathrooms are fully tiled with underfloor heating, heated towel rails, sapphire crystal mirrors, toiletries and hair dryers.
Enjoy being entertained by music and films always available from our DVD collection, relax in our spacious living room area or read in our separate formal lounge.
For your convenience, Wi-Fi and broadband services are available free of charge. Central heating keeps the house and guest rooms warm during winter. In summer, air conditioning keeps things comfortable. Our elevated location and outlook ensures the house is warm and sunny all day.

We take pleasure at Blackwood House in welcoming guests with a selection of tea, coffee, beer or wine and homemade baked treats.
Wake up to a choice of cooked or continental breakfast. We understand that dining is a key part of your memories, and for that reason we are always happy to tailor our menu to your dining needs. We specialize in traditional New Zealand cuisine and focus on using seasonal, local produce and only the finest ingredients.

As Hamilton International Airport is very handy to our location, we are available to organise airport collections and transfers for all travellers here to Blackwood House.
We offer a similar service with regular tour bus services that frequent the region also.
